Gallery

Located on the first floor, the Mary Bishop Memorial Art Gallery is named after long-time Library Director Mary Bishop and provides patrons with an interesting rotation of local art to enjoy. The gallery contains 108 feet of wall display space and three glass display cases.

How to Exhibit

Exhibits in The Mary Bishop Memorial Art Gallery may contain the works of a single artist or a group. Artists may contact the gallery coordinator to request the opportunity to book an exhibit. All work must be framed with a wire on the back for hanging. Exceptions include mounting on foam core with an acetate covering and wire on the back.

When the artist and gallery coordinator reach an agreement, a letter of confirmation is sent to the artist containing the reminders of time and dates of when their work and personal biographies, price and title lists are due. The gallery coordinator places the exhibits.

The Library will be happy to sell the artist(s)’s works during their exhibits. The Library Board asks that each artist donate 20% of sales to the Library.

Please contact the coordinator at 765-362-2242, ext. 121, to book an exhibit or gain more information.
